1. Iraq and Roll!

"IRAQ AND ROLL"

Words and Music by Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas

YOU CAN WAVE YOUR SIGNS IN PROTEST
AGAINST AMERICA TAKING A STAND
THE STANDS AMERICA'S TAKEN
ARE THE REASON THAT YOU CAN

IF EVERYONE WOULD GO FOR PEACE
THERE'D BE NO NEED FOR WAR
BUT WE CAN'T IGNORE THE DEVIL
HE'LL KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE

SOME SEE THIS IN BLACK AND WHITE
OTHERS ONLY GRAY
WE'RE NOT BEGGING FOR A FIGHT
NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY

WE HAVE THE RESOLUTION
THAT SHOULD PUT'EM ALL TO SHAME
BUT IT'S A DIFFERENT KIND OF DEADLINE
WHEN I'M CALLED IN THE GAME

(CHORUS)
IRAQ, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
I'M BACK AND I'M A HIGH TECH GI JOE
I PRAY FOR PEACE, PREPARE FOR WAR
AND I NEVER WILL FORGET
THERE'S NO PRICE TOO HIGH FOR FREEDOM
SO BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU TREAD

NOW THIS TERROR ISN'T MAN TO MAN
THEY CAN BE NO MORE THAN COWARDS
IF THEY WON'T SHOW US THEIR WEAPONS
WE MIGHT HAVE TO SHOW THEM OURS

NOW IT MIGHT BE A SMART BOMB
THEY FIND STUPID PEOPLE TOO
IF YOU STAND WITH THE LIKES OF SADDAM
ONE JUST MIGHT FIND YOU

(CHORUS II)
IRAQ, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
I'M BACK AND I'M A HIGH TECH GI JOE
I'VE GOT INFRARED, I'VE GOT GPS AND I'VE GOT THAT GOOD OLD FASHIONED LEAD
THERE'S NO PRICE TOO HIGH FOR FREEDOM
SO BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU TREAD

(BRIDGE)
NOW YOU CAN COME ALONG
OR YOU CAN STAY BEHIND
OR YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE WAY
BUT OUR TROOPS TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE
FOR THE GOOD OLD U.S.A.

(X3)
IRAQ, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
IN THE USA
IRAQ, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
I'M TALKIN' ABOUT THE USA

2. My Dad!

So, what have you been up to, Rurik?

Rurik Myhrberg, #408, has been spending his Friday afternoons at Sky Harbor Airport working as a Sky Harbor Navigator. This is a program sponsored by the City of Phoenix which trains volunteers to greet and help airport visitors navigate the airport terminals.

Rurik is an ideal candidate for this kind of work as he has spent his life in aviation and tourism arenas. In Sweden where he was born, he served in the Swedish army being assigned to an intelligence unit. Following this, he was employed at the American Embassies in Stockholm and in Copenhagen, Denmark which provided a base for his future career and where he was pleased to be working with Americans and speaking English. He has served as Operations and passenger Service Manager coordinating flight movements and all functions of arrivals and departures. As Sales Manager, he opened sales offices in both the U.S. and Europe.

He emigrated from Sweden in 1952 to live in the United States. He is fluent in 5 languages and was an official Swedish instructor and Scandinavian translator for the Berlitz School of Languages. He has visited or worked in 42 different countries on 5 continents.

For information on how to become a Navigator, call the Navigator Program Office at 602-273-3354 or fill out an application online by double-clicking on the Navigator logo at www.phxskyharbor.com

3. The Misguided Professor!

THE MISGUIDED PROFESSOR!

An atheist professor was teaching a college class when he told the class that he was going to prove that there is no God. He said, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!"

Ten minutes went by. He kept taunting God, saying, "Here I am, God. I'm still waiting." He got down to the last couple of minutes when a US Marine just released from active duty and newly registered in the class walked up to the professor, hit him full force in the face, and sent him flying from his platform.

The professor struggled up, obviously shaken and yelled, "What's the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine replied, "God was busy; He sent me."

Life is good – trust in Him!

4. Kids Essays!

These ideas about science quoted here were gleaned from essays, exams, and class room discussions. Most were from
fifth-and sixth-graders. They illustrate Mark Twain's contention that the "most interesting information comes from
children, for they tell all they know and then stop."

1. Many dead animals of the past changed to fossils, others
preferred to be oil.

2. Some people can tell what time it is by looking at the
sun. But I have never been able to make out the numbers.

3. We say the cause of perfume disappearing is
evaporation. Evaporation gets blamed for a lot of things
people forget to put the top on.

4. I am not sure how clouds get formed. But the clouds
know how to do it, and that is the important thing.

5. In making rain water, it takes everything from H to O.

6. Rain is saved up in cloud banks.

7. It is so hot in some parts of the world that the people
there have to live other places.

8. One horsepower is the amount of energy it takes to drag
a horse 500 feet in one second.

9. When people run around and around in circles we say they
are crazy. When planets do it we say they are orbiting.

10. Most books now say our sun is a star. But it still
knows how to change back into a sun in the daytime.

11. A vibration is a motion that cannot make up its mind
which way it wants to go.

12. Vacuums are nothings. We only mention them to let them
know we know they're there.
